Hi, I am a wife of 21yrs and a mum of 18 and14yr old boys. In 2004 I became very ill and 6 months later found myself in intensive care with heart disease and heart failure. It's been a tough road but I am a stronger person for it. A few months ago I noticed some spotting but didn't think much of it. Since then things have progressed and I decided it was time to see the GP. After explaining my symptoms of bleeding, pain during and after intercourse, bloating, pelvic and lower back pain, fatigue and generally feeling unwell he carried out swabs and blood tests. He told me to see the GP with gyne specialities the following week for further testing etc. She did not want to do any checks, she just told me that she had made an urgent referral to the Cancer clinic and she had reason to believe I may have Cervical Cancer. Although it was obviously a thought in my head, it was a shock wave to actually hear her say it. I am now eating for my appointment which is in 9 days. Positive thoughts will be very welcome.
