Male: 1959. Diagnosed with rectal cancer Feb 2018 Had a loop colostomy in March 2018 Chemoradiotherapy in May 2018 Total Pelvic Externation October 2018 - complete resection with 30mm clear margins. Histology revealed synchronous cancer - Rectal T3N0M0, Prostate T2aN0M0 Period of post op infections and slow recovery. Feb 2019: CT and MRI scans showed no further evidence of cancer. PSA : 0.01, CEA 0.8. Pronounced cancer free April 2019. Starting to feel almost normal albeit with twin Ostomies - Colostomy and Urostomy.
