About Sydney2015

Hi I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2016, which followed with 6 months of chemo, and mastectomy and then radiotherapy.

I was given tamoxifen for a duration of 5 years initially but it was then increased to 10 years "to be on the safe side".

I am nearing the end of this now with a year to go but after a recent visit to the oncologist, they were surprised I was still taking it.

I think if my recent tests come back clear that they will be looking to stop it.  I have gained a lot of weight in the last 3 years through medication and am wondering if anyone else had a problem with weight gain even though I eat sensibly.

I am rather worried about just stopping this drug whether it be now or in the next year and wondered what others experience was with this.
