About Steveswife

Wife to Steve who has just been diagnosed with stage 4 NSCLC spread into pleural cavity and lymph nodes. No symptoms other than tiredness. Found by fluke although now hospital have looked back they can see it in xrays from last June and November - no consolation. Given 6/9 months without treatment, 1/2 years if treatment works. Steve is going to fight this as well as he can, we have a 16 autistic boy Unfortunately lots of options not open to us as Steve is type 1 diabetic with impaired kidney function so been told no to chemo and immunotherapy. It’s EGFR mutation and we started afatinib last week. Fingers crossed.
