I am 52 years old married to my lovely wife Jane. Diagnosed last year with Oesophageal Cancer. Had many procedures including 3 sessions of chemotherapy pre operation, then major surgery (oesophogectomy), then 3 further sessions of chemo. Recently had devastating news that it had spread to secondary in liver (inoperable). Now on palliative care going forward. Positive news recently in that I am positive for Herceptin to start soon, so hopefully will have quite some time yet before I depart......It is wierd really in that I feel really well, go to the gym, swimming, yoga, tennis, golf etc...and am keeping very positive which does work wonders in believing that you can enjoy and prolong your lifespan. Also about to take early retirement from my very supportive employers and can enjoy life.
