I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. I underwent a fully mastectomy followed by 6 months of chemo. I then went on to have reconstruction of my right breast.
I was diagnosed about 8 weeks ago with rectal cancer, for which I'm now having daily radiotherapy & chemo. This will be followed 8 to 10 weeks later with surgery to remove tumour, rectum & affected lymph nodes, & have a stoma/colostomy bag fitted.
Devastated is an understatement. But being as positive as possible.
Woul love to hear from people who have gone through cancer in which they've had to have a colostomy.
