About sallyuk

Hi All Just coming to the end of radiotherapy after 'dodging the bullet'. After my last cervical smear test - nasty cells were discovered and after immediate hysteroscopy, mri and biopses was called to have a hysterectomy 4 weeks later. Nasty Stage 1 cancerous cells found in my womb and recommended to have 5 weeks of daily external radiotheraphy and then 2 internal sessions. Only 1 more to go so am coming to the end. Feel so relieved that our NHS works so well that it was caught in time and would recommend all ladies to carry on having their smear tests, My cervix was fine but luckily other nasties were discovered. Have met such lovely people, other patients, family, staff and feel privileged that some have shared their stories which make mine seem insignificant.
