I'm 52 year old I was adopted when I was a child and did not know family back ground until I met my birth mother when I was 48. There is no cancer in her side of the family but I have hereditary Hemochromatosis from her. I have been going through the menopause since I was 49. My adopted mother and father died of cancer my mother when I was 10 and my father when I was 27. This left me and my adopted brother on our own he now has lung cancer and this scares me. life hasn't been good to us but we are in good minds and we stick together even though he lives 5 hours from me I visit him every month but my own health is not good just now so I thought I would join this group for some support. I look forward to reading and getting advice as I'm now having my own problems with bloating around the stomach bleeding now and again and awaiting hospital appointments to find out if its anything serious at my age.
