I was diagnosed with Medullary Thyroid Cancer in 2001 and had my thyroid removed. This operation was not successful and I was very fortunate to be referred to the Hammersmith hospital under Mr Lyn who operated a second time and I had a complete neck dissection in 2003.
I have been monitored by the team regularly since then but as the disease is progressive and it was impossible to eradicate in 2003, I have now been referred to the Roysl Marsden. I have never met anyone with this type of Cancer so would love to hear from someone who would like to share their situation with me.
