My husband of 43 years has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. No symptoms or signs just one day abdominal pain next day the awful news. He had to have an emergency ileostomy and is trying to recover from this but it’s not easy. To date we’ve not had the meeting to discuss treatment as he is still in hospital as 1 week after his ileostomy his appendix flared up. . He is 69 usually fit and well and is my life. We have 2 children and grandchildren that he adores I feel so alone though with it all and I’m not coping and in a state of panic.
