I'm 43 years olds and live in Canada. My Dad had surgery for prostate cancer years ago and has now been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The doctors are going to try different treatments.
I joined this site so that I could chat with people who may be going through similar situations, rather than just family. I'm trying to be strong for my Dad however I'm a person they wears their emotions on their sleeve so being strong can be a challenge. As well, I'm trying to support my Mom who is an awesome support for my Dad.
I'm in the Social Services sector for my career so my natural instinct is taking care of others. Joining this site is one attempt I'm making to take care of me.
