About NatalieMoss

Hi there I am 29 and live in Jersey in the channel Islands with my lovely hubby Karl. I have had a bit of a journey the last 5 weeks. I was flown over to Queens hospital in London after a CAT scan showed that i had a bleed on the left side of my brain. I couldn't move anything on my right side from my shoulder down. VERY SCARY!! Luckily after three weeks in hospital i was back to moving around as the swelling reduced after removal of the blood clot. Unfortunately though, pathology on the clot in-fact showed it was a tumour, EVEN MORE SCARY!! It seems to have baffled the doctors a bit as it really didn't look like anything other then a clot. So far i have been told it was a sarcoma and has something to do with spindle cells. It has been sent away for more tests and we are finding out the final verdict on Tuesday 21st Dec. I have Radio theraphy booked in London at UCLH (Jersey is too small to offer this treatment) for 6 weeks from 4th Jan but on Tuesday i will be told if what they have found will require more then this. I have the most fantastic husband, family and friends and without them i don't know what i would do. We have always been close but these past weeks have made us all so much closer. It is because of them that i have made the progress that i have. They are amazing!! xx May 2011 Bad news, unfortunatly the tumor has come back. We found out in late May and i have since had it removed. The doctors were really supportive but said that this is a rare and very aggresive sarcomma and the fact that it came back again so soon after treatment doesnt look good. What a shock. I was given the option of chemo, if just to give me more time and so i have taken it. I am two cycles in and its going ok but tough. Its for 3 solid days, every 21 days, for a planned 6 cycles. The first cycle i felt sick, but managed with the anti-sickness meds and the 2nd round has been more total loss of appetite due to a general sore tummy. Its that kind of burning feeling you get when you have gone ages without food, horribal! Real awful taste in my mouth too which is only just going - thank goodness! Anyways, due an mri half way through (midddle of august) and so will update once thats out the way.
