I'm 28, married mummy of 1, my daughter was born June 2019. Since having her I've had issues with pain and bleeding during/after intercourse, which I just put down to having a rough labour.
July 2020 I had my routine smear and mentioned my issues to the nurse. She noticed some bleeding on contact and referred me to the hospital for colposcopy nothing suspected ectropion cells. Smear came back normal, as did my previous one 3 years ago.
Nov 2020 Since my smear I have recently developed more unusual symptoms; persistent lower back pain, unusual discharge. I finally get my colposcopy (thanks Covid) and the nurse finds the ectropion cells as well as something else which she takes 2 biopsies of. They advise they cannot treat me on the day, I will be called back in around 6 weeks to discuss biopsy results and treatment.
Nov 2020 Less than 2 weeks after my colposcopy I receive notification an appointment has been made for me back in clinic in 4 weeks time and 'if appropriate, I may be offered cold coagulation on the day'.
