About MissyM

I had breast cancer 2012, surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Other members of my family have also had cancer: My Dad pancreatic, his two sisters skin melanoma and lymphoma, grandparents prostrate and breast cancer, my mum had her large bowel removed, my uncle both had skin cancer, my youngest cousin leukemia and my brother testicular and secondary lung cancer. Not all had the same cancer types as you can see but of these family members five have died over the past few years. My youngest cousin died aged 13 yrs. Being in a cancer family does raise the anxiety levels although we all tend to be fairly pragmatic about it all. Today is a good day....I'm alive!!
