About MIr86

In 2006 I was diagnosed with breast cancer - Invasive ductal carcinoma Grade 1, oestrogen receptive. So I needed a lumpectomy plus 22 glands in the armpit removed (which were clear) followed by 25 sessions of radiotherapy and then 2 years of Tamoxifen and 3 years of Femara. I continued to be monitored closely for 10 years by the Oncology department and since 2017 by my GP. I had a recurrence in September 2020, now metastatic but had 6 months chemo then a mastectomy. Then I began letrozole and one of the latest targeted therapy drugs Ribociclib. Since then I’ve been on another two targeted drugs which dont seem to be working. Now waiting for the next lot of scan results etc and the next course of action.
