Diagnosed with head and neck cancer, summer 2022 after a swollen lymph node in my neck appeared and didn't go down.
Did 6 rounds of chemo and 30 radiotherapy. I was the biggest baby going and terrified of everything in the beginning, thanks to lots of previous medical trauma. Expected the worst of everything but pretty much breezed my way through treatment with very few issues. I found that keeping positive was key to most of it, along with listening to my body and asking/accepting help.
It's now Xmas 2022 and I finished treatment about a month ago. Now waiting to see if treatment was successful, which I should know in a couple of months time.
