I am 59 year old, mother of 2 boys, grandmother of 4 married to Iain for nearly 38 years. I recently retired as Senior Lecturer at University of Aberdeen where I worked in the School of Education as a Teacher Educator.
I was diagnosed with a suspected malignant lung tumour in June 2013. I was very fortunate that surgery was an option and my right lung was removed in August 2013. I required no further treatment. Giving up work has ensured I stay well which I do. I've been to New Zealand twice since my surgery to visit my family there!
