Hello everyone!
I read all the messages before joining the chat. Every 3 years I have a routine breast check up. 26 October 2019 had mammogram. After more than a week I got letter and asked me to go back for second mammogram as they found lump in my right breast. 13 November 2019 had second mammogram and biopsy. Nearly 2 weeks had an appointment to see my breast doctor and I was told I have 7mm grade 1 breast cancer.
After knowing such bad news I was not surprised as I know there must be something wrong when I was told to undergo a second mammogram. At 60 I tried not to think about it but it can’t be avoided no matter how old you are it can be worrying thinking how I cope such illness. I had many sleepless nights thinking about BC and much worried about the treatment if I can survive the treatment, My doctor told me to undergo breast surgery then radiotherapy for a week and then medication up to 5 years. The thought of radiotherapy worried me so much because I was recently diagnosed with osteoarthritis and in constant pain with my lumbar spine and shoulder bones and high blood pressure.
16 December 2019 had lumpectomy and supposed to be tomorrow have doctor’s appointment but it was cancelled because according to the breast team who called me the biopsy result has not yet come through. So still waiting for the result until next week.
I trust everything to God as He is a GREAT HEALER.
Best wishes to you guys
