I was diagnosed with stage 2 oestrogen positive lobal breast cancer in June 2016. I had a mastectomy July 2016 and another the following June. I did not require radiotherapy. I have not had reconstruction and came off anastrazole after taking it for 10 months as I found the side effects crippling - physically bad but mentally so much worse. I am still struggling with the effects of my mastectomies - not sure if it is scar tissue, cording or perhaps both that are affecting me. Getting a diagnosis is hard but I know that 1 and 2 years down the line from my operations things have not improved as well as they could have.
