Stage 3 breast cancer survivor. Hello everyone, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, I had a biopsy, which was inconclusive as my lump, which I found was only 2mm, followed by a lumpectomy, which confirmed I had cancer. I was was given a 45% survival rate. I went on to have a full mastectomy of my right breast with lymph node removal. 3 months later I had 6 sessions of chemotherapy, using 4 different types of chemo drugs.when my chemotherapy was completed, I then had 15 rounds of radiotherapy. Two years after radiotherapy, I was admitted to hospital for a week, I was coughing up blood, and all I could think of was the cancer had spread to my lungs. After an X-ray and CT scan I was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis, a lung disease caused by my radiotherapy, although there can be other causes, which is incurable but managed by 3 different puffers and nebulising twice a day, the disease is also know as non cystic fibrosis. So here I am 4 years on managing my lung disease and waiting for the 5 year all clear from breast cancer.
