About kerriebacon

I was diagnosed with breast cancer on 5th August 2014.....one of the darkest days of my fabulous life so far.....I had the lump removed = all clear around it.....lymph nodes = clear BUT had Estrogen- and Her2 receptors + so had to undergo 4 rounds of very heavy chemo and then 12 weekly chemos....23 rounds of radiotherapy and Herceptin every 3 weeks till Jan 2016.....so far have managed the journey.....been teaching all the time with 10 days off as thats all the school allows with pay....:{ I developed a cough from the radiotherapy and nothing has helped it go away....and this weekend got muscle spasms from the relentless coughing....otherwise I am grand and looking forward to getting completely better and getting back to some sense of normality.....
