About KatK

I was diagnosed with colon cancer in August 201. I had chemotherapy & radiotherapy before having surgery followed by more chemotherapy. We thought I had beaten it. But then in November 2012 I started to get a lot of pain in the coccyx are, which is how it all starte. I had scans & we learnt in March 2013the cancer had spread to both of my lungs & was in the sacrum bone. I have have had lots of treatment since then. My oncologist decided I could have a break from all treatment for Christmas & new yea.r. Then recently 19 February my husband was concerned with my health. I had become very tired & could sleep almost all day & night, my speech had become slurred & my face had dropped on the left side. I thought it was because my gp & Macmillan nurse had altered my pain relief. But I agreed to go & get checked out at the hospital just to keep my husband happy & reassure him I was ok. When I got to the hospital they thought I may have had a stroke & did a ct scan. It was then they found the cancer has also spread to my brain. Which was the last thing I expected to hear. I have just finished cyber knife radiotherapy & see the doctor in 3 days time.
