About Jimmygee

60 yr old farmer in Ireland. Thought I had a fungal infection in my left ring finger about 5 yrs the nail was split . After a crush injury the nail did nt grow back properly and just had an ulcerated appearance. It bled if I bumped it but was nt sore. AFTER 2 yrs I went to a consultant who removed the nail and It tested positive for subungal melanoma. 2 weeks later I had the finger removed down to the second joint and my lymph nodes removed for testing. Today, 3 weeks later they informed me all tests were clear and I don t need a Petscan, just a check up every 6 months. Lucky me!
