About JDBUNNY

After an emergency hysterectomy in January 2017, it was found that I had leiomyosarcoma. In January 2018 a tumour was found in my pelvic area, which was initially treated with radiotherapy. This did start to shrink the tumour and on a watching brief an operation was considered. Unfortunately the last CT scan showed that I now have another tumour in the peritoneum, and have been told I am now terminal. My oncologist in palliation has put me on Letrosole to see if it has any effect. The problem for me is the side effects so far are awful and I now feel permanently unwell, which until now was not the case. The hot flushes, night sweats are bad enough, but now I ache, feel tired, have no energy and get nauseous and recently started to feel faint and dizzy. I am now asking myself if this is worse it and in any case it is not treating breast cancer.
