About jay52

Hi i am a 52 year old mum who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2014. It is a rare type of cancer called granulosa cell tumour, (GCT). It was first found on my left ovary so i had a full hysterectomy in 2014 to remove it. I was told by my oncologist there was only a 5 % chance of it returning and since that i have been monitored every 3 months by inhibin B blood tests. In December 2016 i was told it had recurred in the form of a 6 cm tumour in my pelvis area. I had open surgery in Jan '17 and am now recovering from this. I will continue with 3 monthly blood tests to monitor this but was wondering if there are any others who may have had this form of cancer? and if so what treatment they are undergoing and how they are getting along with living with it?
