Hey I'm Jannine, 26 originally from Essex. I was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma on the 10th of March 2015. Since then I've had extensive surgery and radiotherapy. Unfortunately the surgery was unsuccessful, the new bone and graft didn't take in my mouth so I'm now living with no palate and dead exposed bone waiting for more reconstructive surgery to my face, jaw, cheek and new roof of mouth. I'm now a year out from treatment, finally starting to feel a little like my old self! Wow it's taken some time and it seems been one heck of a rollercoaster the last year and a half but still putting up a good fight ready for the next stage of this long process. Be great to talk to anyone who has been through similar or just to talk to people who are on the same page
