Hi there.
I have lung cancer. Diagnosed in February 2022, and just started a new regime after 24 cycles of chemo and immunotherapy treatments.
I’m 72 in March, and have not let my condition change my life much - despite many side effects and awful fatigue. I’m naturally an upbeat person so I just get on with it. I really appreciate every day now…we just have to play with the cards we’re dealt with, right?
It’s about following the process for me, if one treatment stops working, then on to the next - I can’t get emotional about it as I find that unhelpful. One day at a time.
I’m so lucky to have a wonderfully supportive husband, twin and family, and a brilliant oncology team in Guildford. I’m very blessed in that way.
Thanks for reading my post. I hope you too are managing to live your best life despite your condition.
