About JacquiH

Hello. My husband was diagnosed with throat cancer in Dec 2016...its actually on back of his tongue and he has secondary swelling on his neck. He started chemo and radio two weeks ago (6th feb 2017) ...and as we enter our third week hes struggling with extremely painful throat, coughing ALL the time (not sure if got a cough or side effect to lack of/thick saliva), very sleepy too. He had to have a stomach peg fitted a week after he had started chemo/radio (the first attempt before chemo was unsuccessful) ready for a time that he cannot eat properly, and we've had a week of that being badly infected and causing all sorts of pains, and nasty gunk...despite being put on penicillin 4 days ago. Any tips on stopping the coughing from dry mouth..or anything to make life more comfortable would be appreciated. :)
