About Ii11y

I was diagnosed with Basaloid Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Anus early 2021. My world was turned upside down! A tornado blasted through my head as I attended appointments after appointments. Completely kept in the dark, My days are mostly up, but i did have down days. At this point i described it as a roller coaster ride.. Beginning of April i had a phone call from a different Hospital, as id been referred. I listened then broke down on the phone asking it this it, its too late for treat and I'm dying. The lovely specialist nurse, a long story but basically reassured me. She then asked what i did know! Very little... at this point we talked for a while, giving me the answers id waited so desperately for Not the answer i wanted ( to be a mistake) , but not the worsted. She was answering my questions, it was hard to take in. She told me my Consultant name, numbers for people I would need to speak with. My appointments to be officially told. I had my Staging assessment, Advanced Basaloid Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Anus - stage 4a T4 Nc M0 the cancer spread outside the bowel but not in liver, kidney and lungs Spread to mesolectal lymph nodes, para rectal lymph nodes, iliac lymph node and inguinal lymph nodes, the followed on the report no FDG- Avid enlarged nodes in common iliac and Para aortic region. Size is 9cm then clock 11 to 4 mass in the anal/ rectum passage
