My 64 year old father was diagnosed on 2 September 2020 with metastasised oesophageal cancer, the tumor is 12cm in length and attaches to the aorta, making it inoperable. He has been told he has between 9 and 12 months, at best. Additionally, he has been told that chemo and other therapies will not make much of a difference.
I am absolutely devastated, as my father has always been my idol. However, he is going to fight all the way, and I am in his corner. We are still dealing with the initial shock, but are now at a point where I am keen to get a second opinion regarding chemo specifically.
