I'm an Englishman in my 60s, living in Scotland.

I lived in Europe for two years and was told I had an enlarged prostate, but after an ultrasound scan, I was assured there was no cancer.

I moved to Scotland earlier this year and registered with my local GP. To do so, I had a blood test. That led to an MRI and a biopsy, then a cancer diagnosis.

I scored 7 on the Gleason scale, and I am having surgery later this month (November 2025).
