Recently diagnosed with Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma in the leg. A lump I had reviewed over many years. It was assumed to be a benign cyst. Last year it became more painful so asked for it to be removed. After a biopsy which was inconclusive they removed it to find ACC. I’ve since had a PET - node activity in the neck so ultrasound done and MRI neck done (nothing to worry about ) mammogram done - cysts only. I’ve just had more removed from the lump site as they needed to get clearance. (3 days ago)
Results back in 4-5 weeks.
Does anything else need to be done?
They haven’t said anything about further treatment?
Update Oct 22. Clearance made but no details still to wether this is a primary or secondary. Pushing for a MRI/ CT head with no luck, just had an apt for Jan 23, for dermatology review? Feel I’m doing all the chasing and it doesn’t matter anymore clearance made done??
