Supporting my partner through her cancer journey.
She is 30 years old, we've been together since we were 14.
She is my rock and has stood by me relentlessly and often to her own detriment while I've struggled with my own personal (mental) health battles.
In the space of a month she went from fit and well, hiking up moorlands with our dog - to emergency lung surgery due to massive bleeding and lung collapse.
Many consultants, doctors and surgeons saying "we don't really know what this is - very strange" later, she finally received diagnosis of a very rare cancer.
Primary pleural Myxoid pleomorphic liposarcoma.
So rare, case studies can be counted in single digits.
Treatment and the future holds many unknowns - but what is not unknown is our love for one another. Whatever comes, we will face it hand in hand.
