Diagnosed with Dukes C (T3N1M0) rectal cancer in early April 2016 via the NHS screening programme - happy 60th!! Joined Aristotle trial and had chemo radiotherapy in May then extra elevator abdomen resection on 9th Aug with a permanent stoma. Pathology downgraded me to Dukes A (T2N0M0) and I'm having 6 months of weekly chemo (flourouracil 5fu) - not sure why as I understand there is no benefit to adjuvant chemo with Dukes A but I was offered so decided to take it just in case. Due to finish in April 2017
