Hi, My first contact with this site and story is a bit complicated. I've recently been to A+E with shortness of breath.Suspected blood clot but none found. Two years ago a ct scan showed some fibrosis of left lung, Ct in A+E showed some changes in the affected area. Have been told to attend for a further ct scan in three months. A blood test also showed a very high d dimer count of 5,500. No further investigations or appointments are planned. I am very scared and cannot sleep worrying about the raised d dimer and the fact it is prognostic of cancer. I have no other condition that would account for this very high level and 3 months is a long time to wait. Does anyone have a similar experience.
