I had papillary thyroid cancer in my 30s which went undiagnosed for a long time & spread. I reported lumps in my neck for a year before referral. I had a thyroidectomy & lost my parathyroids. The treatment was very poor & it took years to get the right medication I have to rely on. Ten years later I had mantle cell Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, stage 3. I had massive tumours in my face & throughout my body & lymphoedema. I had a place in a hospice. Amazingly I .survived with little treatment & was clear for 14 years. It recurred in my groin last year but radiotherapy worked. I'm anaemic & have a kidney conditiiion but otherwise I'm well now. Cancers have had a huge impact on my life. Living after being expected to die has been difficult. I started smoking when I was 15 & found I couldn't give up. I Iposted my recommendation of ecigarettes because I am very pleased to have replaced cigarettes completely with my ecig & encourage smokers to try them.
