About DonnaJane

My younger sister was diagnosed with stage 2 ovarian cancer in 2019.

She had a hysterectomy and chemotherapy.  Unfortunately she caught glandular fever and was in hospital for 3 weeks.

She managed to fight it.  Unfortunately it came back on her pelvis and in January 2024 she had the tumour removed more chemotherapy.   Last year they found a tumour on her spleen and she had radiotherapy.   When she had her PET-CT scan it showed the tumour on the spleen had gone but she has a tumour on the left side of her pelvis where it was before and also on her left kidney and she is just finishing radiotherapy for that.

She has fought so hard over the last 5 years and been so brave.

I am hoping that her next PET-CT scan will show that the radiotherapy has worked.
