Onset of aktinic keratosis (AK) on my scalp diagnosed by an AI program called Skin Analytics in October 2022. Treated with Efudix cream for one month. Two subsequent Dermatology appointments early in 2023. Cryosurgery on both occasions and discharged.
Two new lesions appeared on a different area of my scalp in July 2025. Treatment with Solaraze gel for eight months was unsuccessful.
Both lesions were eventually diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in September 2026. They were removed by excisional biopsy in October 2026 (skin flap surgery).
Now awaiting the biopsy results.
