About Cyprus23

Hi I'm a 52 year old mum who was diagnosed with a stage 2a melanoma on the 4 May after having an underrated mole removed on the 23 April in Bristol. I am now waiting for a date to have a WLE and SLNB. I just wanted to reassure those who have just started their journey that although the waiting seems colossal and anxiety levels can run high you can get through. I went to the Drs in Oct/Nov time and it seemed to take forever to get to the next stage. I found once I actually knew I had a great calm- right I have cancer and it's being dealt with now. Don't fear cancer or let it consume you, just talk to people who know what your going through. This seems to be a very supportive group which is why I have joined
