I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in September 2023, I had two lumpectomies one included two lymph nodes being removed
First surgery was November 24 2023
Cancer cells were found in the sentinel node. But not the other removed node
2nd surgery was 22nd of December 2023.
6wks later got my result which were Margins were clear and the cancer is gone from my boob, but incase of "rogue cells chemotherapy has been recommended part of my treatment
I had my initial meeting with the oncologist March 5th 2024
I confirmed that Friday that I would be having chemotherapy. So now waiting on a CT scan appointment
Operation:
Left breast central wide local excision taking nipple areola complex and left SLNB 24.11.23
Pathology shows 44mm Grade 2 invasive mammary cancer, no special type with lobular features, intermediate grade DCIS <1mm from the inferior margin, 1/2 SLN involved, posterior margin also needs re-excision (along with inferior margin) as invasive disease 0mm and inferior <1mm, ER 8, PR 7, HER-2 FISH negative
