About Colinda

My diagnosis for breast cancer is HER2 negative & Oestrogen Receptor positive. I have been using a low dosage HRT patch twice a week for twenty years . The prognosis I received yesterday was good but after I have surgery next week, I have been advised I must stop taking the HRT and take Tamoxifen everyday for the next 5 years. I generally avoid taking any medications so I researched Tamoxifen and it didn’t make for good reading with the possibility of side affects etc. I am considered super fit & healthy overall for my age of 70 and wondered if anyone out there can offer their own experience of taking the drug or if anyone sought advise about NOT taking it please? Horrible time. TIA
