About chutney

Mouth cancer (Adenoid cystic carcinoma, left maxilla) diagnosed in 2011, age 50. Had a left partial maxillectomy (Weber-Ferguson approach) and obturator reconstruction. No chemo or radiotherapy. I was told my type of cancer doesn't respond to such treatment. Clear until May 2015. Local recurrence in sinuses. Metastasis to lungs. Inoperable = terminal. Update, Feb 2018: still here but for how much longer? Maybe another six months. I'd be really surprised to be here a year from now. My left eye is gone now and that side of my face is very swollen. It's hard living with a terminal prognosis that is too vague to form any kind of plan around how to spend my remaining time. Sometimes I just wish it would hurry up and finish.
