About chrisrg42

Had a nice simple SCC on one ear about 5 or 6 years ago which was quite easily removed by surgery and I still have most of my ear albeit a little smaller and a bit too floppy to securely hold a hearing aid but at least that bit of cancer is all gone. Sadly I got another SCC on my face which again was agreed to remove with surgery. Unfortunately it took a while to organise the surgery so the SCC not only grew larger on my face, it spread to lymph nodes in my neck. So shortly after the surgery to deal with the SCC on my cheek, I had a further surgery for a full neck resection. Not pleasant. Worse, when prepping for that surgery they noted another sore developing on my face, just underneath where the last one was. At that stage it was decided that a course of radiotherapy would be the thing to do so went ahead last December. Not too awful but did get progressively worse as we went on and I was glad when it finished. However not pleased when I found another lump in my neck even after having huge amounts removed during the neck resection. That has now been scanned and deemed to be  further metastatic growths of one kind or another so I now need a 2 year course of immunotherapy. I'm a bit worried about that idea as I also suffer from MS so anything that plays about with my immune system has to be questioned so I'm now looking for advice.
