2020, My Husband was diagnosed with Undifferentiated Pleomorphic Sarcoma in his calf
This was surgically removed, but recurred in the same place one year later,, 2 more surgeries and 30 cycles of Radiotherapy followed.
Then NED until...
June 2024 Diagnosed with the same Sarcoma in his left Lung, one large nodule and at least 6 more smaller ones.
Inopperable and given terminal prognosis of between 6 to 12 months.
Started palliative Chemo in July 2024 , DOXORUBICIN... but this caused terrible side effects including nutropeanic sepsis and a pnuemothorax, so Chemo stopped after 2 cycles.
Setember 2024. VATS Talc Pleurodesis sugery performed to close pnuemothorax.
This proceedure has been very , very painfull and there have been severel complications.
We both accepting of the situation, but we have our ' moments' as I am sure you all trying to do.
