Hi, I am Carole, 59 years old. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, which was followed by a mastectomy and then chemo and herceptin. I have also had my ovaries and Fallopian tubes removed as a preventative measure. I opted for implant reconstruction but after 4 attempts, and each implant capsulating, my wonderful plastic surgeon suggested I have the Diepp procedure, which I did in November 2015, and I have just had another procedure to remove fat nacreous from my new breast. I am now thankfully coming to the end of my operations, and am so grateful that I have no signs of the cancer returning. PS. My cancer was oestrogen fed and also I was Her2, which meant my cells separated.
