Hello I'm pleased to be joining the Cancer Chat Community. In 2010 I was diagnosed with early breast cancer during a routine screening. I had a mastectomy of my left breast and immediate reconstruction. Fortunately, the cancer was confined to that breast so there was no need for chemo- or radio-therapy. I spent several months recovering and during that time my consultant/surgeon and the nursing team provided 1st class after care. In 2012 I had an opportunity to join a well-known Cancer Charity and am still working with them. I am in good health and would be so happy to share my experiences and cancer journey with any ladies in need of support, advice or someone to "listen" to their anxieties and/or own stories.
