About Blondiecat

Hi just joined fouum, my partner has rectal cancer and had 5 weeks of radiotherapy and chemo tablets, doctors thought tumour had shrunk, but after ct scan, it was still there, they were going to operate, but sent him for an mri scan first, and then wham bam, we were told cancer had spread to 1 of his lungs, so they said that it was a wee bit more complicated, then he had to go in to hospital under general aneisthtic to check his Timor a wee bit more and we were then told would need whole rectum removed and have a permanent storma.then said after that would deal with his lung, but before any of that they sent him for a PET scan, we were then told cancer had spread to other lung, so doctors said they were baffled about how to proceed nxt, so now he has to have a picc line and have folofox through iv's , feel totally lost as now they are leaving the Timor in the rectum for the 6 months he is on chemoHe is taking everything in his stride, but my head all over the place.Sorry for long post, but needed somebody to talk to as he wont talk about things
