I was diagnosed with breast cancer last May ....stage 3 ...her 2 negative....quite a shock ! But was found fairly early ,and my consultant and breast nurses were wonderful, my surgeon thought it was better to try and shrink My lump before having surgery, so 3 months of chemotherapy and I had the lump removed along with 3 lymph nodes ...which were Not infected at all ....such a relief!
My oncologist thought it would be good to give my a boost of radiotherapy, so had 20 Finishing back in February this year ....
So all was good ...
It’s over the last few months that I’ve been feeling poorly , but I guess my body is now telling me “ what’s just happened “ , I’ve now been diagnosed with lymphadema , so another thing to contend with , but obviously not quite as bad ......
It’s been quite a journey over the past year ,and I still have down days , but I’m getting there With all the support from Doctors,, nurses , and counselling , and of course family, friends ...xx
