My partner of 30yrs was diagnosed with Bowel cancer back in 2009, had successful surgery to remove tumour, followed by 3 months adjuvant chemotherapy. All going so well, until a cough appeared January 2018 which lingered. July last year, CT scan revealed large mass in liver, which, fortunately was operable. He's now coming to the end of 3 months "mop up" chemotherapy (oxaliplatin and 5FU pump). It's been a roller coaster, as I'm sure, many of you all know and understand. I feel we are coming to the end it this episode now, however, he will be ungoing CT scans every 6 months for next 3 years. Next CT scan due in April. Trying to remain positive and enjoy each and every day, buts it's hard. Dreading the wait for results in April, as the "waiting for results" is the worst part! Hope I'm able to update with positive news.
