I am a lady in my early fifties who has suffered with an auto immune disease for the past 20 years. Unfortunately I have had a lot of drug therapy including anti tnf infusions every 8 weeks for 14years which could possibly left me more susceptible to certain cancers!
I am very lucky to have a wonderful, kind, supportive and loving partner and two happy and healthy grown up children. My first cancer diagnosis was a clear cell papillary carcenoma Grade 1 Stage 1 in my right kidney in October 2016. I am now possibly facing a spread but I am totally confused how a Grade 1 Stage 1 Cancer can spread or whether they got that wrong! My next operation is just before Christmas for a lesion on my Aorta ........ I was completely floored by the news and I didn’t cope very well during a 5 week wait to see the Cardio Thoracic Surgeon. However I am feeling stronger now and I think I’m ready to fight whatever is ahead .......if I can give any advice it would be that information is power .........
